3 months later..

Friends!
I know it has been WAY TO LONG since I have last written something. Since technology has expanded to where I can do just about anything on my phone, I barely am on my computer and thus have pushed this little blog to the side:(
but I hope that I can get back into the swing of blogging.

I have been SO BLESSED to be a part of an amazing womens bible study that I have been going to since last semester. This semester, we are doing a 6 week long study, and the particular chapter today really hit a chord in my heart, and I KNEW that God was revealing yet another amazing thing about Him.

The particular part of the study we are at right now is "Moving past our devastations with the Lord". Beth Moore teaches this section of the study book, and already, my heart is moved.

Isaiah 55:8-9
" My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts, says the Lord. And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine. For just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so my ways are higher than yours, and my thoughts higher than your thoughts."

imagine the plan you have for yourself at this point in life...and the word tells us that God has something FAR BEYOND what you are imagining! That is amazing to me, that He has something far greater for me than I know for myself.

"Not every GOOD idea, is a God-idea"- Beth Moore
What do you think about when you read that? For me, I get so caught up in my "good ideas" and I rush to think "well this is a good idea so it will work and I will be doing something good and this is God's plan for me".... not so much. The above verse tells us that our ways our not God's ways, and are thoughts are not His thoughts.
"When God doesn't appear to bless your plans to do something for Him, consider that He wants to do something for you instead. Ask Him what it is. Then, as He reveals it to you over time, cooperate and let Him to it. Every work of our hands that God truly blesses always originates with a specific work of His, in us"-Beth Moore

This made me think about all the times I have had a plan, and it didn't fall accordingly. When God closes a door and doesn't allow something to happen, that can leave us feeling frustrated. Yet, I want to strive more on keeping my eyes focused on the great things He is doing in my life, instead of focusing on the things he does not allow to happen.
When we focus on our "devastations" with the Lord, that can stall our walk with God and I don't want to stop walking with God just because He has not allowed something to happen, or answered a certain prayer. He has a plan for all things for our life, and it is in constant faith that we trust Him with everything.
